Yes. The Piz La Ila gondola takes you from the village into Alta Badia, and from there you join the circuit at Corvara or Colfosco. A competent intermediate can ski the full loop in a day in either direction.

Selva for skiing, as the Sella Ronda starts there. Ortisei for a town with shops and restaurants, and for summer, when its lifts go straight up to Seceda and the Alpe di Siusi. Santa Cristina sits between the two.

Only if you plan to move between areas. It covers Alta Badia, Val Gardena, Civetta and San Martino di Castrozza, plus many more. A local area pass is cheaper if you will stay on one mountain all week.

Yes. Lifts carry walkers up to huts and high meadows, and there are via ferrata routes for all levels. Seceda, the Alpe di Siusi and the Civetta are classic walking areas. August is the busiest month.
