Villas in Pals

About Pals

Pals is a small town of about 2,500 people on a hill, a few kilometres inland in the Bay of Empordà. The walled old quarter has cobbled alleys, a Gothic arch at Plaça Major and the Romanesque Torre de les Hores, 15 metres high, which gained a Gothic bell tower after the castle was demolished in the fifteenth century. Platja Gran de Pals is more than 2,400 metres of fine sand about 60 metres wide, with a developed section and an almost untouched one, dunes behind it and a steep entry into the water. The Basses d'en Coll ponds attract nesting birds, and rice fields run behind the coast. Our homes are tightly grouped, mostly with a pool and a garden, typically for around five or six, and some for large groups. Beyond the old town, the beach and two golf courses are the main attractions.

Getting to Pals

When to go to Pals

The developed section of Platja Gran has lifeguard service and water sports, and the Costa Brava beach page rates occupancy as moderate. The beach is exposed to waves, so swimmers should note the steep entry. Outside the beach months the old town, ponds and rice-field cycling routes carry the visit. The pages we checked do not list closing dates for beach facilities or restaurants.
