About Castelfalfi
Castelfalfi is a frazione of Montaione, in the Empolese Valdelsa area of Tuscany, over 150 metres above sea level. It is a medieval village built around a castle that was given the look of a villa in 1475; the village emptied after the Second World War, was bought in 1982 and had its main buildings renovated between 2012 and 2014. The estate has a 27-hole golf course, an organic farm with about 25 hectares of vineyards, and over 10,000 olive trees. The homes are spread across the surrounding countryside, beyond the hamlet. Nearly all have a pool and a garden, most have air conditioning, and most suit a couple or a small family. Evenings are quiet, and Montaione is the nearest town.
