Badesi suits beach holidays on the long, dune-backed sand of Li Mindi, where the Coghinas river reaches the sea. Most homes have a private pool and a garden. It is a small town, with Alghero and Olbia airports each around an hour and a quarter or more away.
Badesi is a young seaside town on the border of Anglona and Gallura, at the eastern end of the Gulf of Asinara, first settled in the 18th century. The parish church of Sacro Cuore stands at the centre and four hamlets lie on the hills above. Li Mindi is a wide beach, white and mostly fine, running for kilometres with juniper-covered dunes. The Coghinas mouth has reed beds and river islets where birds nest, and from the sand you can see Asinara and the coast from Castelsardo to Isola Rossa. Around the town, hills and flat land carry vineyards. Our homes are spread over a few kilometres around the town, most with a garden and a private pool and many air conditioned.

Reed beds and river islets where resident and migratory birds nest.
Alghero is about an hour and a quarter by car (roughly 48 miles) and Olbia about an hour and twenty-five minutes (roughly 47 miles). Buses run from both airports but take an hour and a half or more, so a car is the practical way to reach homes spread around the town.
Summer brings the town's programme: a food festival on 8 August, a summer carnival on the night of 13 August and the patron saint's festival in early June. In May an international surfcasting competition takes place. The shore is exposed to the maestrale, a north-westerly wind, so windsurfing works all year and exposed beaches can be breezy.
