Costa Paradiso is a granite coast of small coves in north-west Sardinia, with the homes grouped tightly together on it. Li Cossi's sand cove is the headline beach. The sea is reached by car, and Olbia airport is a long drive away.
Costa Paradiso is the marine district of the municipality of Trinità d'Agultu e Vignola, on the western edge of Gallura. It is granite covered in Mediterranean scrub and broken by little coves, so the beaches are small and tucked into rock rather than long strips. Li Cossi is a sheltered cove with white, firm sand between pink trachyte cliffs, reached by a path of about 500 metres from the car park. Li Tinnari is further along the coast, with light sand mixed with pebbles and a rock splitting it in two. The homes sit in a tight cluster, so you are choosing a spot on the headland rather than a town. Fewer than half have a pool, and over half have a garden. Villages and shops are in Trinità d'Agultu, inland, and in Isola Rossa, six kilometres from Trinità.

Small bay of light sand and pebbles, split into two halves by a rock, reached by a 20 minute walk or by sea.
Seaside village about 6 km from Trinità d'Agultu, with a late 16th-century Spanish tower and a name taken from the island offshore.
Inland village on a hill about 350 metres above the shoreline, with an 18th-century church and the nearest everyday amenities.
Olbia is the practical airport, around 1 hour 45 minutes by car. Buses from the airport stop at Trinità d'Agultu, with no direct service to Costa Paradiso itself. Plan on hiring a car: the trailheads and car parks for the coves are reached by road.
Summer is sunny and dry, with a sea breeze cooling the evenings, and autumn arrives late with the sea holding its warmth. Spring is when swimming starts. Winter is very short, and the coast rarely drops below freezing.
Yes. Li Cossi is a small cove with white, firm sand between pink cliffs, and the sea bed is sandy and gently sloping near the shore. It is a walk of about 500 metres from the car park.
Around 1 hour 45 minutes by car. Buses run from the airport to Trinità d'Agultu but there is no direct connection to Costa Paradiso, so most visitors hire a car.
Not many. Costa Paradiso is a marine district of Trinità d'Agultu e Vignola, and everyday amenities are in Trinità d'Agultu inland and in Isola Rossa, six kilometres from Trinità d'Agultu. Kiosks and bars operate near Li Cossi.
Yes, with some effort. Park at the end of a 5 km diversion off the SP 90 and walk about 1 km, roughly 20 minutes, across the slopes of Mount Tinnari. A longer 7.5 km dirt path starts from Li Cossi.
It suits it. The sea bed at Li Cossi is sandy near the shore and richer in fish further out, which draws snorkellers. Isola Rossa, a short way along the coast, is promoted for both snorkelling and diving.
