About Alf
Alf is a village of about 820 people on the left bank of the Mosel, where the Alf stream joins the river. Woodland covers over half its small area, with vineyards on the slopes. The homes sit together in the village. Burg Arras, rebuilt between 1907 and 1910, has views over the Alf valley, the Mosel and the Hunsrück, and the Bergkapelle sits in the vineyards above the village. Across the river, Bullay has a station on the Koblenz to Trier line, reached by the double-deck bridge. Alf is a junction of the B49 and B53 roads.
