About Privlaka
Privlaka is a single village of about 2,100 people spread over 11 square kilometres on the Zadar Riviera, with the bridge to Vir to the north and Nin about 9 km to the south. The beaches line a long sandy bay. Selo has golden sand and a flat entry, Škrapavac and Bilotinjak have clear, shallow water for small children, and Sabunike has fine sand with a very gradual slope. At Mostina, black mud is used to treat rheumatism. Our homes are mainly detached houses close to the village, most with gardens and a good share with pools. Evenings mean konobas serving pršut, cheese, fish and grilled meat rather than bars. On clear days the Velebit mountains show to the east from Sabunike.

Privlaka villa holidays: questions answered
Is Privlaka good for families?
Yes, especially with young children. Škrapavac and Bilotinjak have clear, shallow water suited to small children and non-swimmers, and most of our homes here have gardens. Teenagers may find the evenings quiet.
Do you need a car in Privlaka?
Yes. The beaches are spread along the bay, Nin is about 9 km away and Zadar about 21 km, so a car is the practical way to reach them, the airport and the bridge to Vir.
Which airport is best for Privlaka?
Zadar. Privlaka is about 21 km from Zadar city, and the airport sits 8 km outside the centre. UK flights are seasonal, with Ryanair from Stansted taking about two hours twenty minutes and easyJet flying from Gatwick.
Is the beach at Privlaka sand or pebble?
Mostly sand. Selo has golden sand, Sabunike has fine sand with a few small stones and a very gradual slope, and Vrilo mixes sand with some pebbles and concrete sunbathing areas.
Privlaka or Nin for a villa?
Privlaka is the quieter village, with houses, gardens and its own sandy bay. Nin, about 9 km south, has the old town on its lagoon islet and the Holy Cross church, so many stay in Privlaka and visit Nin.
