Wenns and the Piller plateau (outer valley)
Wenns has more of our Pitztal homes than anywhere else. It is a farming village around 15 minutes from Imst, with the painted Platzhaus in the centre. Above it, the road climbs to the Pillerhöhe, where the Kaunergrat nature park has its visitor centre and the Gachenblick viewpoint looks down on the Inn valley. Jerzens and the Hochzeiger lifts are around ten minutes away. Innsbruck airport is about an hour by car.
Best for: Families and summer walkers who want a quick transfer and lower prices
Not for you if: You want to ski from the door: the main ski areas are a drive or bus ride up the valley.
