About Wenns
Wenns is a village of around 2,000 people at 962 metres on the Pitze river, 7.3 km south of Imst, and one of the Pitztal's key villages because of its central position. The Pillerhöhe pass, at 1,559 metres, links it by a narrow road with Fließ in the Oberinntal. The Pitztal runs between the Ötztal and the Kaunertal. The homes are spread over a few kilometres around Wenns, mostly small, sleeping around five, with no sauna or private pool and few with a garden.

Getting to Wenns
Imst is around 13 minutes from Wenns by car, and VVT bus 310 runs hourly from Imst Terminal Post to Wenns Pitztaler Hof in about 23 minutes. For Hochzeiger, take the train to Imst-Pitztal, then Regiobus 311 to Wenns or Jerzens. A car gives far more freedom in this valley.

Wenns itself has no lift, but the Hochzeiger area above neighbouring Jerzens has 40 km of pistes. Take Regiobus 311 to Wenns or Jerzens, then the bus that runs to the Hochzeigerbahn base station.
