Celerina suits skiers who want a direct gondola into the Corviglia ski area from a village of about 1,500 people. It sits at 1,714 metres, beside St. Moritz, and none of our homes here has a pool.
Celerina, or Schlarigna in Romansh, lies in the Upper Engadine between St. Moritz, Samedan and Pontresina, across from the entrance of the Bernina Pass. Romansh was the majority language until 1941. The village has no large hotels, only small and medium ones, and its position at the edge of the plain, where the Flaz meets the Inn, makes it the sunniest spot in the Upper Engadine. Much of the Corviglia ski area lies on Celerina's land, and the Marguns gondola takes you to its middle. The Cresta Run toboggan track from St. Moritz finishes in Celerina's Cresta neighbourhood. Our homes sit close together in one small area, most for two to five people, with no pools. In summer the hikers, climbers and mountain bikers take over.
The neighbouring resort, a short Rhaetian Railway ride away, sharing the Corviglia ski area that Celerina reaches by gondola.
With Samedan and St. Moritz, one of the three neighbours Celerina sits between in the Upper Engadine.

Zurich Airport is the main gateway, about 2 hours 40 minutes by car. By train it takes around four and a quarter hours, changing at Zürich HB and Chur. Rhaetian Railway trains stop at Celerina, Celerina Staz and Punt Muragl Staz, so you can manage without a car.
Winter brings skiing, bobsleigh and skeleton, and the first cable car ride up is at 7:45 in the morning. Summer draws hikers and mountain bikers. Celerina is called the sunniest spot in the Upper Engadine, and the village has no large hotels. Check lift dates before booking either side of the main winter months.
Celerina is the calmer base, with a direct gondola linking it to the St. Moritz ski area. Much of Corviglia lies on Celerina's municipal land, so you reach the same slopes from a village with no large hotels.
No. Rhaetian Railway trains stop at three stations in the municipality and run to St. Moritz, Chur, Landquart and Tirano. A car only helps for reaching Zurich Airport quickly.
