About Dénia
Dénia is a port town of about 50,000 people, with a Moorish castle on a rocky crag above it and a daily ferry service to Ibiza and the other Balearic Islands. Our homes are spread around the town and its surroundings, nearly all with a private pool and most with a garden. North of the port, the Las Marinas beaches are sandy and suit children, while the rocky coast at Les Rotes to the south-east is for snorkelling and diving. The Montgó, a 753 m nature reserve, rises behind the town. For food, Dénia has been a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy since 2015 and is known for its red prawn. Beach bars typically run May to September, and the boats' catch goes to auction from 17:30 on weekdays.
