About Sjællands Odde

Sjællands Odde is the north-western end of the Odsherred peninsula, best known for Odden harbour, where the Mols Linien car ferry leaves for Aarhus every two hours on a crossing of about 1 hour 20 minutes. Down at the harbour, Den Gyldne Hane is a restaurant specialising in seafood. Our homes are scattered over about nine kilometres rather than gathered in one village, so think of the Odde as a spread-out area around a ferry port, not a resort. Most sleep six, about a quarter take eight or more, and nearly all have a fireplace, which makes them workable in the cooler months. A minority have a sauna. Evenings are mostly spent at the house, so plan meals around it.
