Højby suits families and groups who want a quiet village base in Odsherred, on the Zealand peninsula between the Isefjord and Sejerø Bay. It is a small village, so plan on driving to Nykøbing Sjælland or Rørvig for the harbour and a wider choice of places to eat.
Højby is a village of about fourteen hundred people in Odsherred, a peninsula in north Zealand between the Isefjord and Sejerø Bay. Nykøbing Sjælland, the largest town there, has a little over five thousand people, and Rørvig on the Kattegat side has a marina and a pier popular for crabbing. Our homes are tightly grouped, mostly sleeping six, with a fireplace in most, a sauna in about a third and about a third taking eight or more. Some places to eat are seasonal, such as the fish restaurant at Rørvig harbour, which opens from April to October, so check before an off-season visit.
