About Schladming
Schladming is a town of around 6,700 people at 745 metres, a former mining town first mentioned in 1180, now best known for Planai, where World Cup races have been held since 1973. The small old town can be explored on foot, and several bars are open in the centre in winter. It sits at the foot of the 4-Mountain Ski Area, which links Hauser Kaibling, Planai, Hochwurzen and Reiteralm. Our homes are grouped tightly in and around the town, many for around six people, and about half have a sauna. In summer the same mountains serve hikers, climbers and toboggan runs, and the town has an outdoor swimming complex. Out of season, check which lifts and attractions are open before you arrive.
