Siviez, formerly Super-Nendaz, is a lift base in the Nendaz part of the 4 Vallées, with links across to Verbier and Veysonnaz. It suits skiers who want to start from the lift. It is a small base, with a handful of shops, not a full village.
Siviez is one of about 15 villages and hamlets in the municipality of Nendaz, in central Valais, and was formerly known as Super-Nendaz. It is a ski-lift starting point for runs to Verbier and Veysonnaz, made up of three residential blocks, several restaurants and small shops, and the Siviez to Plan du Fou cable car goes up to 2,430 metres. Mont Fort, at 3,330 metres the highest point of the 4 Vallées, is reached from here. The homes are all packed within a few hundred metres of one another, so you are staying at the lift base. Most have a sauna and are small, typically one bedroom for about four. Haute-Nendaz, the main resort, is about 20 minutes away. Hiking trails and mountain bike trails are listed for the area outside the ski season.
The main resort of the municipality on a plateau at about 1,300 to 1,500 metres, roughly 20 minutes from Siviez.
Another 4 Vallées resort, reached on skis by lifts from Siviez.
Another 4 Vallées resort, and Siviez is a starting point for the lifts and runs that link to it.
Capital of the Valais, about half an hour from Nendaz and the end of the rail journey from Geneva.
Fly into Geneva: the drive from the city takes around 2 hours 15 minutes. Trains from Geneva run to Sion every 30 minutes, but the rail leg ends there, so a car is worth having, or plan the transfer up to the lift base carefully.
Winter is the main season: Nendaz lists over 82 lifts and 412 km of pistes, with the slopes reaching 3,330 metres. Summer brings walks to the Cleuson reservoir and Dent de Nendaz, the Chemin des Bisses along old irrigation canals, and mountain bike trails. An easy walk along the bisses is also promoted in autumn.

About 20 minutes. Haute-Nendaz is the main resort of the municipality, on a plateau at around 1,300 to 1,500 metres, while Siviez is the much smaller lift base with direct access to the 4 Vallées.
Not much: three residential blocks, several restaurants and small shops. In summer the area has hiking, including the Chemin des Bisses along old irrigation canals, and mountain bike trails.
By car it takes around 2 hours 15 minutes from Geneva. Trains run from Geneva to Sion every 30 minutes, but you then need a further connection up to Siviez, which makes driving simpler.
