About Santanyí
Santanyí is a municipality on the south-east corner of Mallorca, and the town itself holds a market on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. Cala d'Or is its largest resort, with three districts, no building above two storeys and a marina at Cala Llonga with bars and restaurants. Elsewhere the coast is cove country. Caló Santanyí is a white sand beach only 70 metres long, with high occupancy and watersports hire, while Caló d'Es Moro is a 30 metre mix of gravel and sand that is hard to reach on foot. Mondragó Natural Park covers 766 hectares of pine, dunes, cliffs and wetland. The homes spread over about seven kilometres. Most have a pool and nearly all a garden. They are large, typically four bedrooms, and half sleep eight or more.
