About Pollença
Pollença is an inland town of about 17,800 people in northern Mallorca. A 365-step stairway climbs from just north of the main square to a chapel on Calvary hill, where the Good Friday parade takes place, and the Puig de Pollença forms the backdrop. The so-called Roman bridge, in its present form a 19th-century structure, crosses the torrent of Sant Jordi and can be reached from Calvary hill. The sea is elsewhere: Port de Pollença sits on the bay about 6 km east, with a beach that slopes gently into the water and a wide promenade for walking and cycling. Our homes lie scattered around the town and the surrounding countryside. Most have a private pool and a garden, many sleep six or more, and a fair number have a fireplace.
