About Ville San Pietro
Ville San Pietro is a hamlet of about 110 people on a slope at the foot of Monte Moro, at around 508 metres. It was a comune in its own right until 1928, when it was merged into Borgomaro. Its history follows Borgomaro's: a fief of the counts of Ventimiglia, then of the Lascaris di Tenda from 1455, the Savoy from 1575 and, after a spell under the Doria, the Savoy again. The parish church of San Pietro in Vincoli is an 18th-century work by Filippo Marvaldi. The SP 25 road runs through towards the hamlet of Conio. The homes are close together and sleep up to seven; only some have a private pool, so check each listing.
