Yes. Our villas are spread out, buses are limited and many beaches and viewpoints are reached by narrow, winding roads. Hire a car at the airport for the whole stay.

Not on foot or by swimming at present. Landing and swimming in the cove have been banned and boats must stay offshore, under rules running to the end of October 2026. Check the current position before you go.

Loggerhead turtles nest on the beaches of Laganas Bay in the south, including Gerakas, Dafni and Kalamaki. These beaches are open from 7am until sunset and closed at night, and boat trips should keep their distance from the turtles.

June and September, when the sea is warm and the island is less crowded than in July and August. From late October to April many tavernas and boat trips close.

Boat trips leave from Agios Nikolaos, near the northern tip of the island, and many combine the caves with a view of the Navagio cove from the water. Trips depend on sea conditions, so keep a flexible day.
