About Kellenhusen
Kellenhusen is a former fishing village that is now a spa resort with about 1,200 residents, sitting on Lübeck Bay between Grömitz and Dahme. The beach is about 2 km long, with a promenade and a lookout tower at each end, and the 305 m pier has three themed islands, one of them a children's area with water access; it is lit in the evening. The Kellenhusener Forst, 600 hectares, lies to the north. Dogs have their own beach. The homes are close together, mostly with a garden, and sleep about four. Fewer have a sauna or a fireplace, and few have a pool. Parking is limited. Out of season the visitor information desk keeps shorter hours.
