About Bodstedt
Bodstedt gives its name to the Bodstedter Bodden, a lagoon in the Darß-Zingst chain, within the Western Pomerania Lagoon Area National Park. The shore is heavily indented and fringed with reeds, the water is rarely deeper than three metres, and the village has an old port with views over the lagoon. The Baltic beaches are across on the peninsula, such as the Darß Weststrand, a natural sand beach of roughly 9 km. Barth, on the next lagoon east, has the largest harbour in the bodden waters. Our homes sit close together, nearly all with a garden, most with a fireplace, and three bedrooms is typical. Some sleep eight or more.
