About Morillon
Morillon is a commune of about 700 people in Haute-Savoie, rising from 657 to 2,046 metres. A gondola leaves from just outside the village and links to the Grand Massif, which has about 265 km of runs across five resorts: Les Carroz, Flaine, Samoëns, Morillon and Sixt Fer à Cheval. Above the village, Les Esserts, also called Morillon 1100, has homes with ski-in ski-out access. The season runs from mid-December to the third week of April. Morillon is the home village of Antoine Deneriaz, who won Olympic downhill gold in 2006. Our homes sit close together around the village. Most are small, for around five people with one bedroom, few have a pool, and about one in ten has a sauna.

Morillon villa holidays: questions answered
Is Morillon connected to the Grand Massif ski area?
Yes. A gondola leaves from just outside the village and links to the Grand Massif, which has about 265 km of runs across five resorts, including Flaine, Les Carroz and Samoëns.
How far is Morillon from Geneva airport?
About 55 km. A shuttle bus runs from the airport to Morillon, which makes a winter transfer straightforward without hiring a car.
Is Morillon worth visiting in summer?
Yes, for outdoor activity. The village has a small lake with an adventure park, and the Giffre has white-water rafting. Mountain biking, canyoning and golf at Flaine fill the rest.
Morillon or Samoëns for a ski holiday?
Samoëns is larger and within cycling distance of Morillon, so it has more going on. Morillon is smaller and has the gondola leaving from just outside it, into the same Grand Massif.
What is Morillon 1100?
Another name for Les Esserts, a spot above the village where many homes have ski-in ski-out access. Morillon village itself is lower, at the foot of the gondola.
