About Broager
Broager is a town on the Broager peninsula, on the north side of Flensburg Fjord, with Germany across the water and Flensburg at the head of the fjord. Broager's church is one of the fjord's attractions, and the two small Ox Isles lie off the Danish shore to the west. Our homes are grouped in one tight area, mostly sleeping around five, with a fireplace in most and a sauna in about a fifth. Egernsund, at the north-western end of the peninsula, has a small harbour, a brick church from 1909 and a brickmaking past, with more than 40 brickworks around 1890. A bridge crosses the Egern Strait to Gråsten, whose palace is a royal summer residence.
