About Vrsi

Vrsi is a village municipality of around 2,000 people, with about 1,600 in Vrsi itself, and it was first mentioned in documents in the fourteenth century. It is around nine minutes by car from Nin, which is where the sand is: Queen's Beach runs for about 8 km and is known for its shallow sea, so small children can paddle without going deep. Nin's old town sits on a tiny islet reached by two stone bridges from the sixteenth century. Vrsi itself is a small place, so most guests drive for meals out and shopping. Homes here lean large, with gardens common, and nearly half sleep eight or more. Fewer than half have a private pool.

Getting to Vrsi

Zadar airport is the nearest, about 20 km away. Bus line 103 runs to Zadar only about every three hours, so a car is what you want for beaches and shopping.

When to go to Vrsi

Summer is the sand and shallows season, and the Nin shore is the draw. Outside it the beach is for walking rather than swimming, so check what is open before you go. Public transport to Zadar is infrequent in any month.
