Pašman suits couples and small families after a low-key island in the Zadar archipelago, with air-conditioned homes mostly for two to eight. It is reached by ferry from Zadar via Ugljan or from Biograd to Tkon. Few homes have a pool.
Pašman is an island of about 60 square kilometres south of Zadar, between the city and Biograd na Moru, with a coastline of about 70 km and a few thousand people. Its ten settlements include Pašman village, Kraj and Tkon, the largest. Beaches are mostly pebbly or rocky, with sandy ones on the north side, and the Pašman Channel to the mainland is only 2 km wide in places. The homes are spread across the island rather than gathered in one place, and they are mostly small, with one bedroom typical and few pools. Pašman is joined by the Ždrelac bridge to Ugljan, which faces Zadar across a narrow strait.

Fly to Zadar. From the city, a ferry runs to Preko on Ugljan, then the D110 road and the Ždrelac bridge lead onto Pašman. A second ferry runs from Biograd to Tkon. You will want a car on the island.
By ferry. One route runs from Zadar to Preko on Ugljan, then by road over the Ždrelac bridge onto Pašman, and another runs from Biograd to Tkon on the island itself.
Yes. The Ždrelac bridge links the two islands, so a car arriving by ferry at Preko can drive straight onto Pašman along the D110.
Visit the Monastery of St Duje at Kraj, built in 1390 for Bosnian Franciscans. Beyond that the island is mostly about the sea and its ten small settlements, of which Tkon is the largest.
It lies south of Zadar, between the city and Biograd na Moru. Zadar faces Ugljan and Pašman across the narrow Zadar Strait and has a civil airport.
Few do. Most are small, with one bedroom typical, though a minority sleep eight, and most have air conditioning.
