Flumserberg Tannenbodenalp is a ski and hiking resort above the Walensee, with about 65 km of pistes. The homes are small, sleeping up to six, with no pools or gardens, so this is a mountain base rather than a lakeside one.
Tannenbodenalp is the highest of the Flumserberg villages at 1,344 metres, on a terrace overlooking the Walensee and the Churfirsten range. Winter brings a FamilyRun, free practice areas for children and beginners, a 3 km toboggan run from Prodalp to Tannenheim and about 20 km of cross-country trails. In summer the draw is walking and biking. The SeeJet gondola from Unterterzen climbs to Tannenboden, so the lake is close. The homes are clustered tightly together, and most are well suited to two to four people.
About 20 minutes away by car, with diving, stand-up paddling, canoeing, sailing and surfing on the water.
