About Pianello Lario
Pianello del Lario is a lakeside comune of about a thousand people, around 35 km north-east of Como and 70 km north of Milan. It is less a single village than a string of hamlets, among them Calozzo, Riva and Sant'Anna, with Musso next door to the north. Across the water lie Dervio and Dorio on the east shore. Evenings are quiet; Pizzeria Laguna Beach is the local standby, and the Sasso di Musso and its castle ruins are a short hop away. Our homes are close together, most have a garden, and several have a fireplace.

Getting to Pianello Lario
Milan Malpensa is roughly an hour and a half by car to neighbouring Musso. By public transport, a train to Lugano and bus 631 to Dongo takes under four hours. Boats run the length of the lake. A car is simplest.
