About Flessenow
Flessenow is one of the villages of Dobin am See, a municipality on the north-east shore of the Schweriner See in hilly moraine country. From the 15th to the 18th century it belonged to the von Sperling family, and the neo-Renaissance manor house still stands, protected but ruinous, with a chestnut avenue running down to the lake. Within Flessenow's land lies the Langer See, a small lake with alders on one shore and forest on two others, which drains through a bog into the big lake. The homes are grouped together at one spot, and evenings are spent at the house.
