Paris (city apartments, plus Romainville)
Paris has most of our homes in this region, and all of them are apartments. The district matters more than the flat: the Marais and Saint-Germain are central and walkable, the outer arrondissements quieter and cheaper. Romainville, just past the city edge to the east, has been on Métro line 11 since 2024, with direct trains to Châtelet. Eurostar arrives at Gare du Nord; Charles de Gaulle airport is around 45 minutes by train or taxi.
Best for: City breaks and families who want museums, parks and the Métro close by
Not for you if: You want space, a garden or parking: Paris flats are compact and often several floors up, sometimes with no lift.
Disneyland Paris and Val d'Europe (Serris, Ferrières-en-Brie)
Serris is part of Val d'Europe, the new town built beside Disneyland Paris, with a large shopping centre, an outlet village and an RER station one stop from the parks. Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy station, at the park gates, has TGV services across France. Ferrières-en-Brie, around 15 minutes west, has the 19th-century Rothschild château and its park. Charles de Gaulle airport is around half an hour away by car.
Best for: Families doing Disneyland Paris who want a house rather than a hotel
Not for you if: You want central Paris every day: it is around 40 minutes each way on the RER A.
The Brie countryside (Quincy-Voisins and Beautheil)
East of Disneyland the suburbs give way to farmland, woods and the Marne and Grand Morin valleys. Quincy-Voisins is around ten minutes from Meaux, with its cathedral, a large First World War museum and Brie de Meaux, and about 20 minutes from the parks. Beautheil is a farming village near Coulommiers, home of another Brie, and Provins, a walled medieval town, is under an hour away. Charles de Gaulle airport is around 40 minutes from Quincy-Voisins.
Best for: Groups who want a house with outdoor space within reach of Paris and Disney
Not for you if: You want to manage without a car: buses are sparse and stations are a drive away.
Ville-d'Avray (west of Paris, near Versailles)
Ville-d'Avray is a leafy suburb between the Parc de Saint-Cloud and the Fausses-Reposes forest, with ponds that Corot painted. The Palace of Versailles is around 15 minutes by car, and Sèvres, with its national porcelain museum, is next door. Trains from Sèvres-Ville-d'Avray station reach Paris Saint-Lazare in around 20 minutes. Orly airport is around half an hour away.
Best for: Versailles and Paris from a quieter suburban base
Not for you if: You want a choice of homes: we have very few here.
