About Krk/Krk
Krk town had 6,816 residents in 2021 across 15 settlements and 107 square kilometres, and it is the largest settlement on the island. The old centre keeps parts of the walls built under Venetian rule, a Romanesque cathedral built mostly in the 11th and 12th centuries and the Frankopan Castle beside Kamplin park. Roman baths from the 1st century were found next to the cathedral. Our homes are mostly around the wider town, spread over about seven kilometres. Most have a private pool, nearly all are air-conditioned, and the typical home has two bedrooms and sleeps about five, with some larger villas. You drive to the old town from most of them.
