Villas in Crikvenica/Dramalj
Dramalj suits families wanting a small village next to Crikvenica, about 40 km south of Rijeka. Rijeka airport is about a 25 minute drive from Crikvenica, and Crikvenica next door has been a resort since the 19th century. The trade-off is that UK flights are thin: the airport's only listed London route is a seasonal Ryanair service from Stansted.

About Crikvenica/Dramalj
Dramalj is one of four settlements in the municipality of Crikvenica and had 1,366 residents at the 2021 census. Crikvenica is the largest settlement on the Vinodol coast, and growth has joined it to neighbouring Selce, so this coast reads as a run of connected small towns. Tourism began here in the 19th century, with a harbour in 1877, a bathing beach in 1888 and a first hotel in 1891. Our homes sit in a tight cluster, mostly one-bedroom places for around four, almost all air-conditioned, with over half having a garden and about a fifth a private pool. Few sleep more than eight. Bad weather can bite: in September 2017 overflowing streams flooded the town and Selce.
Is Crikvenica/Dramalj right for you?
- Best for
- Families and couples wanting a small-resort coast near Rijeka
- Not for you if
- You need a large house for a crowd, as few homes here sleep more than eight.
