About Vinišće
Vinišće is a village and small harbour that lives mainly from fishing and tourism. Fewer than a thousand people live here, and the shore has inlets with sandy and pebble beaches rather than one big resort beach; the same stretch of coast also suits underwater fishing. Our homes sit in and around the village, mostly small places for two to six people, many with a garden and a minority with a pool. Marina, a tourist resort with its own small harbour, is about 8 km away and Trogir about 12 km, so anything bigger than the harbour is a short drive off. Split airport is only 6 km beyond Trogir.

The Split coast has hot, moderately dry summers and mild, wet winters, with July the driest month and November the wettest. The sea is warmest in August and coldest in February. Winters in a village this size are very quiet, and the bura, a strong northerly wind, can make cold days feel colder.

Is Vinišće a good base for Trogir?
Yes, if you are happy to drive. Trogir is about 12 km north-east, with a UNESCO-listed old town on a small island, and Split airport lies only 6 km beyond it. Vinišće itself is much quieter than Trogir.
Are there beaches in Vinišće?
The coast nearby has inlets with sandy and pebble beaches, and it also suits underwater fishing. Expect small inlets rather than one long beach, and check how far your particular home is from the nearest one.
Vinišće or Marina for a villa holiday?
Vinišće is the smaller and quieter of the two. Marina, about 8 km away, is a tourist resort and small harbour with a pebble beach, while Vinišće is mainly a fishing village. Choose Marina if you want more going on.
Do homes in Vinišće have a pool?
Only a minority do, although many have a garden. If a private pool matters, filter for it before booking, because plenty of the homes here are smaller places for two to six people.
Is Vinišće quiet in winter?
Very. Fewer than a thousand people live in the village, and winters on this coast are mild but wet, with the bura wind adding a chill. Come then for peace rather than beach days.
