Pany suits families and walkers who want a small mountain village in the Prättigau with its own ski lift and swimming pool. Homes here are mostly roomy, with three bedrooms and room for six. The skiing is small-scale, so keen skiers will want to travel.
Pany is a mountain village at 1,251 metres on the Luzeinerberg, the tourist centre of the municipality of Luzein in the middle Prättigau. It is still strongly agricultural, with a few hundred residents and a reformed church of 1705 that is protected as a monument. The homes are spread through the village and its edges and are generally big: three bedrooms and room for six is typical, with a fireplace in many and a sauna in some. The village has a panoramic swimming pool, a family nature trail with play stations and a playground with barbecue areas. In winter there is a ski lift with a school and a children's lift, plus a free cross-country trail. Parking at the lift and pool is paid.

Zurich Airport is just over an hour and a half away by car, or around two hours by train via Landquart to Küblis, then the Postbus up to Pany. The bus road from Küblis has served the village since 1927, though a car makes life easier.
In summer there are over 70 km of signposted hiking trails, mountain bike routes and the panoramic swimming pool. In winter the village has a sunny ski lift, a free cross-country trail, 30 km of winter walking paths and marked snowshoe routes. The children's lift is free whenever the ski school is not running, which helps families.
