Rincón de la Victoria is a seaside town near Málaga with a 3.6 km dark-sand beach, about half an hour by car from the airport. Most homes here have a private pool and air conditioning, but the beach is an urban one that gets busy in season.
Rincón de la Victoria is a coastal town about 16 km from Málaga, with a long urban beach in the central part of the municipality that you reach from the seafront promenade. The sand is dark, the strip is around 30 metres wide and busy in season, and there is sunbed and watercraft hire, showers and toilets. Our homes are in and around the town. Most have a private pool, many sleep six or more, and almost all have air conditioning. On the edge of town, between La Cala and Rincón, the Cueva del Tesoro is a sea-formed cave with prehistoric paintings. Málaga is a short drive or bus ride away for city sightseeing, so this works as a quieter base with the city within reach.

A marina about 3 km from the town beach, handy for a harbour-side walk or a meal.
Málaga airport is about 25 km away, a drive of roughly 30 minutes. Public transport works too: the C1 train from the airport to Málaga-Centro Alameda, then the M-160 bus, takes about an hour. Hire a car if you want the freedom to explore the coast.
The town beach is busy in the summer season, when the hire services are running. The Cueva del Tesoro keeps longer opening hours from mid-June to mid-September and shorter ones through the rest of the year, and it is closed on 1 and 6 January and on 24, 25 and 31 December. Plan cave visits around that, and check beach services before an off-season trip.
