Benalmádena Costa is the seafront district of Benalmádena, with a large marina, beaches and a cable car, and trains to Málaga airport. Most homes here have a private pool and air conditioning. It suits short transfers, though the area is busy with nightlife.
Benalmádena Costa is the coastal district of Benalmádena, where most of the town's hotels and nightlife are found. The town has almost 10 km of beaches, from coves to family beaches with activities, and Puerto Marina is the hub, one of the largest marinas in Andalusia. Nearby sit the SeaLife aquarium, Selwo Marina and Parque Paloma, a landscaped park with a large lake. A 33-metre Buddhist stupa stands in the town, and a cable car climbs the Calamorro mountain. Our homes are spread around the resort, nearly all with air conditioning and most with a private pool and a garden. A typical one sleeps about four. Evenings mean English, Scottish and Irish pubs, restaurants and late-night bars, and the climate stays mild through winter with no frost.

Málaga airport is about 19 km from Benalmádena, and the drive to Puerto Marina takes around 12 minutes. The C1 Cercanías train runs from the airport through Benalmádena to Fuengirola about every 20 minutes. You can manage without a car on the coast itself, but a hire car helps for the hills and further beaches.
The climate is Mediterranean, mild through the year with no frost in winter, so the area works outside the main summer months. Summer is the peak for the beaches, marina and nightlife. In the off-season, check opening times for attractions and seasonal restaurants. Air conditioning and a private pool are worth having in the hottest months.
Not necessarily. The C1 train runs from Málaga through the airport to Benalmádena and Fuengirola about every 20 minutes. A car helps for the hilltop village and beaches further along the coast.

Yes, for the attractions: the SeaLife aquarium, Selwo Marina with its dolphins and seals, Parque Paloma and the cable car are all close by. Discos and late-night bars are part of the Costa too.
The climate stays mild with no frost, so winter is usable. Seasonal businesses keep their own hours, so check opening times before you rely on them.
