About Arnoltice

Arnoltice is a village of about 400 people at 343 m, first mentioned in 1352, in Děčín District. Its Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary is the sight in the village itself. The district holds Bohemian Switzerland National Park, created in 2000, whose symbol Pravčická brána is the largest natural sandstone arch in Europe, and the Kamenice Gorge near Hřensko. The homes are grouped in one spot, mostly small ones for two to four with a single bedroom, and over half have a garden. Evenings are quiet and winter will be very quiet, so the draw is the sandstone country beyond the village.

Getting to Arnoltice

Arnoltice is about 84 km north of Prague and about 10 km north-east of Děčín. A railway line from Prague to Dresden runs through the district, but the village is small, so a car is the practical way to reach it and the park.
