These Krk homes, listed under Milohnići, are in and around Malinska, about 15 minutes from Rijeka airport. Most are houses with gardens near pebble and concrete beaches. The trade-off is a developed resort shore rather than a quiet village.
Milohnići itself is a hamlet of about 100 people at Krk's western end, but the homes listed under its name are actually in and around Malinska, several kilometres to the north-east. Malinska is the resort on the island's north-west coast, and its harbour was used as a port because it is deep and sheltered from the bura. An 8 km shore promenade links the beaches north and south of the centre. Most have pebble entries and concrete areas for sunbathing, while Vrtača and Draga turn to sand underwater and Haludovo has fine sand in the sea and a sandbox for children. Around the harbour are cafés, ice-cream parlours and restaurants, and Rova has a pizzeria and bistro on its promenade. Our homes are mostly houses with gardens and two bedrooms, and few have a pool.
The island's main town, 12 km south of Malinska, with Venetian-era walls, a Romanesque cathedral and the Frankopan castle.
Village perched 50 m above the sea on a limestone outcrop, known for Žlahtina white wine and a famously narrow street.
Village on Krk's south-east side whose main beach, the Vela plaža, runs for about 1,800 metres.
The hamlet the listings are named after, at Krk's western end in the area called Šotovento, home to about 100 people.
Rijeka airport is on Krk near Omišalj, about 15 minutes from Malinska. Its only UK route is Ryanair's seasonal service from London Stansted, about two hours ten minutes. The Krk Bridge has joined the island to the mainland since 1980. A car makes the rest of the island far easier.
July and August are the main season, when Malinska's beaches add an inflatable aqua park and a bouncy castle in the water. June and September are calmer. In winter the Stansted flights stop and the cold, gusty bura is most common, so this is a summer base first.
Yes, for the Malinska homes listed under it. Draga beach has a shallow entry, Vrtača is a favourite with families, and in summer there is an inflatable aqua park off Malinska's main beach. Many of our homes here have gardens too.
It helps. The homes are spread around Malinska, and the shore promenade links the beaches on foot, but Krk town, Vrbnik and Baška all need a car. Rijeka airport is only about 15 minutes' drive.

Mostly not. Milohnići is a small hamlet at Krk's western end, but the homes listed under that name sit in and around Malinska on the north-west coast. Check the map on each listing before you book.
Mostly pebble. Malinska's beaches have pebble entries with concrete sunbathing areas, though Vrtača and Draga turn to sand underwater and Haludovo has fine sand in the sea. Baška, on the south-east coast, has the long Vela plaža.
