Sutivan is a small town on Brač with fewer than a thousand residents, and its harbour is still used by local fishermen. The homes are packed into a very small area close to the village, and most have a private pool, air conditioning and room for around six, with some sleeping much larger groups and some having a sauna. The best-known beach is Likva, a long pebbly stretch, with smaller beaches at Bistrica and Prbuja and pine-lined coves nearby. Cyclists have made Sutivan their own, and the village is home to the annual Uvati Vitar cycling race. Evenings are quiet harbour evenings in a place this size, and out of season it is a very small village.
