Elviria is a residential area of Marbella about 15 minutes east of the city centre, bordering Calahonda in Mijas Costa. It is made up of many complexes rather than one village, with its own services and two golf courses, Santa María and Cabopino, within its bounds. The area runs down to the coast, and many homes are within walking distance of the beach. Las Chapas beach, about 2 km from Cabopino marina, has 750 metres of golden sand. Cabopino's small port has restaurants and beach bars on both sides, and the Artola beach beside it is the only stretch of Marbella's coast backed by extensive natural dunes.
