'Dubrovnik' A holiday in the Dalmatia area of Croatia is nothing without a tour round one on the most beautiful cities in Europe often praised as the 'Pearl of the Adriatic'. This medieval city has incredible walls still intact.
'Nin' One of the most historically important cities in Croatia located in Northern Dalmatia once the ecclesiastical capital of Croatia.
'Split' Dominated by the once retirement palace of the Roman emperor Diocletian now an attraction for Split's most chic bars and nightlife Croatia's second city also offers a bustling harbour side promenade.
Culture and Heritage
Dalmatia has luckily missed out on the large scale building of hotel complexes that has spoiled many European holiday destinations and retains its historical heritage.
Not to be missed
'Libertas' is the world famous Dubrovnik festival, starts on the 10th July every year and lasts until 25th August. A collection of small performances, plays and recitals held all over the old town in historic venues.
Visiting Dalmatia
July and August are the peak seasons when many of the main tourist areas can become very busy, between November and April some of the smaller islands can close.

As a native Texas I was weary to ever leave the US. I was frightened to go to another place, another country. In College, I got my opportunity to do just that during a mission trip with our local church. And I am so blessed now that I did. It was truly one of the best expierences of my life. We went to Croatia and visited the city of Dubrovnik. I have many memories of my time spent there but these are my favorites. The people are kind. The atmosphere holy.
